10 Months Old

On May 30, 2011, Eloise was ten months old. That day was certainly a crazy day. The night before I had decided to fly to Seattle from New Jersey because my Dad was experiencing pretty dramatic complications from his colon cancer surgery that he'd had several days before. So, Eloise and I boarded a plane to Seattle while Claire and Andy stayed behind in New Jersey to spend some time on the Jersey Shore.

I took these pictures before we boarded the plane, and not until I was on the plane later, did I realize I missed the "h" in my little sign... so I had to take another picture!

Claire's First Haircut!

So, after more than three years of slowly growing hair, it was finally time to get Claire's hair cut. We mostly just got it evened out because there was a very long, unruly patch of hair on the center of her head, so finally something had to be done!

We went to a cute kiddie hair cutting place in NJ with Grandma and Grandpa Honig. The place was perfect for kids and they even offered a kiddie manicure!

USA Bound

The girls were troopers on the flight from Naples to Rome and then to NYC. It was a tough trip on mommy, but we made it!

Coming to America

On May 28th, the girls and I flew to the states to join Andy who had already been there for work for a couple of weeks. For a long time we've been planning spending this summer in the states. So far, it has been a very busy summer (hence the limited updates).

Our original plan was to spend four weeks on the East Coast visiting Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Boston. We did manage to visit each place but because of poor health issues with my Dad, there have been some changes to our original plan. I will then work to update the blog and our many adventures this summer.

The second half of our trip is in Seattle and the girls and I plan on flying back to Italy at the end of July.
